The Loire Valley, often called the "Garden of France," is one of the world's most diverse and historic wine regions. Stretching over 600 miles along the Loire River from the Atlantic coast to central France, this UNESCO World Heritage region produces an extraordinary range of wines—from crisp, mineral-driven whites to elegant reds and everything in between, including sparkling and sweet wines.
The Loire Valley is home to some of France's most distinctive appellations: Vouvray and Savennières for age-worthy Chenin Blanc, Sancerre and Pouilly-Fumé for vibrant Sauvignon Blanc, Chinon and Bourgueil for refined Cabernet Franc, and Muscadet for fresh, oyster-friendly whites. The region's cool climate, diverse soils—from tuffeau limestone to flint and gravel—and centuries of winemaking tradition combine to create wines of exceptional purity, elegance, and terroir expression.
