    A legendary expression of Provence's most celebrated red wine, Domaine Tempier Bandol Rouge 'Lulu et Lucien' honors the estate's founders, Lucien Peyraud and his wife Lucie (Lulu). This wine represents the essence of Bandol—powerful yet elegant, rustic yet refined—crafted from old-vine Mourvèdre grown on the sun-drenched terraces overlooking the Mediterranean.

    Tasting Notes:

    • Appearance: Deep ruby with violet hues
    • Nose: Intense aromas of blackberry, black cherry, and wild herbs, layered with notes of leather, game, black pepper, garrigue, and hints of lavender and Mediterranean scrub
    • Palate: Full-bodied and structured with firm, earthy tannins; flavors of dark fruit, olive tapenade, smoked meat, and savory spices balanced by bright acidity and mineral depth
    • Finish: Long, powerful, and complex with lingering notes of dried herbs, tobacco, and sea breeze

    Vineyard & Winemaking:
    Crafted predominantly from Mourvèdre with small amounts of Grenache and Cinsault, sourced from estate vineyards in the Bandol AOC. The vines are planted on limestone and clay terraces, benefiting from the warm Mediterranean climate and cooling sea breezes. Traditional winemaking includes extended maceration and aging in large oak foudres to develop complexity and structure.

    Exceptional with grilled lamb, beef daube, wild boar, ratatouille, aged cheeses, or Provençal stews. This wine will evolve beautifully over 10-20+ years, revealing greater complexity with age.
