    From the sun-scorched volcanic soils of Sicily comes this expressive Nero d'Avola from Poggio Anima — a label celebrated for capturing the wild, soulful character of southern Italy's most celebrated indigenous red grape. The 2023 vintage delivered generous warmth and concentrated fruit, balanced by the island's cooling Mediterranean breezes and the natural acidity that makes Nero d'Avola so compelling at the table.

    Tasting Notes:

    • Appearance: Deep ruby-violet with a rich, opaque core
    • Nose: Intense aromas of ripe black cherry, plum, dried fig, and dark chocolate, with hints of tobacco, licorice, and warm spice
    • Palate: Full-bodied and generous, with velvety tannins, vibrant acidity, and flavors of blackberry, espresso, and Mediterranean herbs

    Drinking Window: Enjoy now through 2029. Decant for 20–30 minutes. Serve at 62–65°F.
