From the cool, alpine-influenced hills of Friuli-Venezia Giulia in northeastern Italy comes this refined Pinot Grigio from Talis — a world apart from the thin, mass-produced versions that have given the grape an undeserved reputation. Friuli is Pinot Grigio's spiritual home, where the variety achieves genuine complexity, texture, and a sense of place. The 2024 vintage delivered ideal growing conditions: a long, cool ripening season that preserved natural acidity and built aromatic intensity.
Tasting Notes:
- Appearance: Pale straw-gold with delicate copper highlights
- Nose: Elegant aromas of ripe pear, white peach, golden apple, and almond blossom, with subtle notes of honey, ginger, and a mineral, flinty undercurrent
- Palate: Medium-bodied with a silky texture, bright acidity, and flavors of stone fruit, citrus zest, and toasted hazelnut. A touch of spice on the mid-palate adds intrigue
