The Story
Founded in 1761, Borgogno is one of Barolo’s historic estates, known for a patient, traditional approach: long aging, large Slavonian oak casks, and a faithful expression of Nebbiolo. The 2021 brings that heritage into focus with aromatic charm, refined structure, and the depth to reward time in the cellar.
In the Glass
Ruby red, with raspberry and red cherry lifted by rose petals, lavender, and a touch of mint. Licorice, pepper, wild herbs, and earthy notes add savory complexity. Bright acidity and polished tannins frame a vibrant, structured palate, leading to a long, elegant finish.
At the Table
Pour alongside braised short ribs, osso buco, beef tenderloin, or lamb shank. Wild boar ragù, mushroom risotto, truffle dishes, and aged Parmigiano Reggiano complement its earthy depth and savory edge.
