A.A. Badenhorst's Secateurs Chenin Blanc 2023 is a benchmark expression of Swartland terroir — sourced from old-vine bush vines across the Paardeberg and surrounding granite slopes of South Africa's most exciting wine region.
Winemaker Adi Badenhorst coaxes remarkable depth and texture from these ancient vines, delivering a wine that is simultaneously generous and precise. Expect aromas of white peach, quince, and honeysuckle, layered with a signature waxy, lanolin character that speaks directly to the age of the vines.
On the palate, the wine is full-bodied yet fresh, with a creamy mid-palate, vibrant acidity, and a long, mineral-driven finish. Fermented and aged in older oak and concrete, it retains purity while gaining complexity.
