Product Info
Fixin is one of Burgundy's best-kept secrets — a village appellation at the northern tip of the Côte de Nuits that produces Pinot Noir of striking character: darker, more structured, and more brooding than its famous neighbors Gevrey-Chambertin and Morey-Saint-Denis, yet with an authenticity and value that is increasingly hard to find in this storied region.
Albert Ponnelle's 2021 Fixin captures the vintage's hallmark precision and freshness. A cooler growing season yielded wines of taut acidity and focused aromatics — think dark cherry, blackberry, and a whisper of violet, underpinned by iron-rich minerality and firm but refined tannins. This is a wine that rewards those who seek out the lesser-known corners of Burgundy.
