From the rugged foothills of the Pyrenees, Domaine Arretxea is one of the benchmark estates of the Irouléguy appellation — a tiny, dramatic wine region in the French Basque Country. Crafted by Michel and Thérèse Riouspeyrous with a biodynamic philosophy, this 2022 rouge is a compelling expression of the region's indigenous varieties.
A blend of Tannat, Cabernet Franc, and Cabernet Sauvignon grown on steep, iron-rich schist and sandstone terraces at altitude. The 2022 vintage brought warm, dry conditions that yielded concentrated, structured fruit with excellent natural balance.
