From the high-altitude vineyards of Luján de Cuyo in Mendoza, Belasco de Baquedano's Swinto Malbec 2020 is a singular expression of Argentina's most celebrated grape. "Swinto" — a nod to the estate's Basque heritage — is crafted from old vine Malbec grown at elevations above 1,000 meters, where cool nights preserve freshness and the intense Andean sun builds extraordinary concentration.
Inky violet in the glass, the Swinto opens with a captivating nose of ripe blackberry, black plum, violet, dark chocolate, and a whisper of tobacco and graphite. On the palate, it is opulent yet precise — full-bodied with velvety tannins, a lush mid-palate of dark fruit and mocha, and a long, mineral finish that speaks to the gravelly soils of Luján de Cuyo.
