Product Info
The Domäne Wachau Terrassen Grüner Veltliner Federspiel is a quintessential expression of Austria’s most celebrated white grape — grown on the dramatic terraced vineyards that cascade down to the Danube in the Wachau, a UNESCO World Heritage landscape of breathtaking beauty and viticultural precision. The “Federspiel” classification — named for the lure used by Wachau falconers — denotes a lighter, more elegant style, ideal for early drinking and everyday pleasure.
Pale straw-green in the glass, the nose is fresh and characteristically varietal: white pepper, green apple, and citrus zest are lifted by notes of fresh herbs, stone fruit, and a delicate mineral quality that speaks to the Wachau’s ancient gneiss and loess soils. On the palate, the wine is crisp, clean, and medium-light bodied, with a lively acidity and the grape’s signature white pepper spice threading through to a refreshing, mineral finish.
Domäne Wachau is one of Austria’s most important wine estates — a grower cooperative with over 200 members farming some of the region’s finest terraced sites. The Terrassen bottling draws from vineyards across the appellation, delivering a wine of consistent quality, genuine typicity, and remarkable value. Pair with Wiener Schnitzel, grilled trout, asparagus, or light vegetable dishes.

Organic Wines: Terroir in Its Purest Form
Organic wines are crafted from grapes grown without synthetic pesticides, herbicides, or fertilizers, allowing the vineyard's natural character to shine through. These wines reflect a commitment to sustainable viticulture and respect for the land, often revealing more nuanced expressions of their terroir.
From biodynamic estates in Burgundy to certified organic vineyards in California's coastal regions, our organic selections showcase winemakers who prioritize soil health and biodiversity. The result is wine that speaks authentically to its origin—pure, expressive, and thoughtfully made.
