Product Info
Domaine Edmond Cornu & Fils is a quietly revered family estate based in Ladoix-Serrigny, at the northern tip of the Côte de Beaune. For generations, the Cornu family has farmed their parcels with meticulous care, producing Burgundies of genuine character and terroir fidelity at prices that remain refreshingly honest. "Les Barrigards" is their village-level Bourgogne rouge — a wine that offers a compelling window into the Cornu house style without the grand cru price tag.
The 2024 vintage in Burgundy was marked by a challenging but ultimately rewarding growing season, yielding wines of freshness and precision. In the glass, Les Barrigards shows a translucent ruby with a garnet rim. The nose is classically Pinot Noir — red cherry, wild strawberry, dried rose petal, and a whisper of forest floor and spice. On the palate, it is elegant and medium-bodied with silky tannins, bright acidity, and a clean, mineral finish that speaks to the limestone-rich soils of the Côte de Beaune. A beautiful introduction to one of Burgundy's most dependable family domaines.
