    Yves Cuilleron is one of the Northern Rhône's most celebrated and prolific producers, a tireless champion of the region's indigenous varieties and a benchmark reference for Viognier done right. Les Vignes de la Côte — "the hillside vines" — draws from steep, granite-terraced vineyards where the combination of granitic soils, southern exposure, and the Rhône Valley's continental climate coaxes Viognier to its most expressive and complex form. The 2023 vintage delivered warm, generous conditions with excellent aromatic development and natural freshness.

    Tasting Notes:

    • Appearance: Deep golden-yellow with brilliant clarity and a rich, viscous pour
    • Nose: Opulent and perfumed — white peach, apricot, ripe mango, and orange blossom cascade from the glass, layered with violet, honeysuckle, ginger, and a subtle smoky, mineral undercurrent from the granite soils
    • Palate: Full-bodied and lush with a silky, almost oily texture characteristic of great Viognier. Flavors of stone fruit, candied citrus peel, and exotic spice are framed by refreshing acidity that keeps the wine from feeling heavy
    • Finish: Long, aromatic, and persistent — the floral and stone fruit notes linger beautifully, with a clean mineral note on the close

    Terroir & Winemaking:

    Sourced from steep hillside vineyards on decomposed granite soils — the same terroir that defines the great Condrieu appellation nearby. Cuilleron ferments and ages on fine lees in a combination of stainless steel and neutral oak to build texture and complexity while preserving the grape's extraordinary aromatic purity.

    Drinking Window: Enjoy now through 2028. Serve at 50–54°F to allow the aromatics to fully open.

    Perfect Pairings: Seared scallops with saffron cream, lobster bisque, roasted monkfish, foie gras, or richly spiced Moroccan chicken.
